New Raspberry Pi Edition of Q4OS 2.5 Now Available for ARM Devices

The Q4OS Linux operating system, based on Debian, has just released its stable version 2.5 for ARM devices such as the Raspberry Pi. With this release, Q4OS has proven their proficiency in creating a top-notch experience for users looking for a high-quality operating system on their ARM hardware.

Q4OS prioritizes the Trinity Desktop Environment (TDE), carrying on the legacy of the renowned KDE 3.5 desktop. Current users of Q4OS may already be familiar with its seamless performance on x86_64 and i686 PAE architectures. However, with the latest release, Q4OS 2.5 is now also optimized for ARM devices such as the Raspberry Pi, Pine64, and Pinebook.

“Our work on optimizing Q4OS for ARM devices has enabled lightning-fast performance on the Raspberry Pi, thanks to its exceptionally low hardware requirements,” stated the Q4OS developers in their official announcement. “Additionally, all of the native Q4OS features, including the “Desktop profiler” and “Setup tool” are fully functional on the Raspberry Pi Q4OS edition, making it an excellent choice for ARM users.”

New updates and optimizations await users of Q4OS on Raspberry Pi devices

Substantial efforts were put into optimizing the Q4OS operating system for ARM devices, and the results are now available with the release of Q4OS 2.5 “Scorpion.” While users can install Q4OS on Pine64 and Pinebook devices, the new release is specifically geared towards Raspberry Pi devices.

Q4OS Raspberry Pi edition is based on the stable Raspbian operating system developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, itself based on Debian GNU/Linux 9 “Stretch.” The default desktop environment is Trinity R14.0.5, providing a fully-functional and familiar desktop experience to users.
